Comets fall short in Marburg

Yet again this year it was just not enough for the Allgau Comets. In the first Quarter the game was taken over by both defenses. Then in the 2nd Qt things started to open up. The first points for the Comets was scored by non other GFL all star Orlando Webb. And a short time later Jackson found Webb again for 6. Later after a 21-7 Score it was time for the Mercenaries to add and add fast. The Comets D could not seem to stop the attack of Luke McCain. It was a scoring battle up until the end.The return of the comets was lead by Jackson with a 50 yard pass to Webb which now had them at 27-28 and with the missing of field goal attemps this was again a narrowly beaten defeat for the Comets.
