May 5th Recap!!!!! GFL

Well well well its seems that the Berlin Rebels are much more of a force than some may have thought. I myself had this game being know where close but as we all seen the Adler hung on to win by only one point. Adler QB Good had 18 rushes for about 92 with a touchdown on the ground. He also added by air 136 more yards with a TD to WR C.Meadows who had 71 yards receiving. Baunacke lead the way on D for the Adler with 6.5 tackles and a sack. The run game for the Rebles was at a hault as Shannon could not get it going. Rebels QB D.Outlaw was 10-16 with 176 yards and 2 TDs,as him and WR Horton went up top for a long one of 71 yards. Horton had 143 receiving. This week the Adler will host the Lubeck Cougars as they are coming off a hard loss to Dresden. And the Rebels will face the storm as they stand 10 toes down with the Hurricanes of Kiel. This past week the Panthers could not get it done as McCants and the ground game had been flooded. Panthers QB R.Demers took the game to the air as he kept them around with his 365 yard 2td game. Canes QB J.Welsh had 4 passing TDs and 181 yards as the the Canes stuck it to the Panthers 49-21. The Panthers will face the Monarchs of Dresden this weekend.

In other German Football action:

The Osnabruck Tigers and coach J get their first win in GFL History over Hildesheim 25-18. A big wow for me was the win Cottbus Crayfish had over Troisdorf 34-27. Seems the Jets just couldnt take off. Montabaur smashed Giessen in the mouth 31-7. Holzgerlingen a strong fav to be a top team in the GFL 2 south this season lost their first game to the Frankfurt Universe 9-12. The Universe are heard to be a good strong team thats well coached and a lot have them at the top at the end of the season.
